Museum Internal Information Website
A locally-hosted, cache-optimized website centralizing museum collections, history, and facility information for staff and visitors.
The museum's institutional information — its object collections, history, and facility details — was scattered across printed brochures, spreadsheets, and informal notes that were hard to keep updated and even harder for staff to reference quickly. Because much of this information was intended strictly for internal use, any digital solution also needed to stay off the public internet entirely rather than simply being password-protected on a public-facing site. The museum needed a proper digital hub for this information, but one that lived securely within its own internal network rather than being exposed externally.
Sitetisfy built a static HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap website deployed on a local Nginx server with aggressive browser caching, keeping the entire site self-contained and reachable only from the museum's internal network. The site brings together a browsable catalogue of the museum's object collections with filtering, an institutional history and milestone timeline, an interactive facility map with labeled locations, and a staff and administrator contact directory. Because it's built from CDN-free static assets and deployed locally, the site loads quickly and works reliably without depending on any external services, a good fit for an internal-only tool.
